JEAN MICHEL JARRE: ODENSE CONCERT STATEMENT

APRIL 26TH: Today, Jean Michel Jarre's Management issued the following statement, regarding the cancellation of Jean Michel Jarre's proposed Concert at the Odense Stadion in Odense, Denmark on August 20th 2005:-

"After his powerful performance at the 'ONCE UPON A TIME...' show in
Parken, unanimously saluted by the media, and his contribution to the HCA 2005 celebrations, Jean Michel Jarre regrets that the project of a special HCA concert in Hans Christian Andersen's home town of Odense, this coming August, has been cancelled for reasons independent of his wishes. He is however, looking forward to performing again in Denmark in the future, as he appreciates the warm welcome he receives on every visit."

APRIL 19TH: Today, Jean Michel Jarre's Management confirmed to JARRE UK, that Jean Michel Jarre's proposed Concert at the Odense Stadion in Odense, Denmark on August 20th 2005, has now been officially cancelled.

APRIL 12TH: Jean Michel Jarre's Management have confirmed to JARRE UK today, that Jean Michel Jarre's forthcoming 'JARRE IN CHINA' DVD will be released in France on May 10th 2005, before being released in the rest of Europe from May 30th 2005, and released in the UK on June 6th 2005.

The 'JARRE IN CHINA' DVD will be a 2-Disc DVD and Bonus Audio CD Set, released in a Digipack Box by Warner Music Vision (Catalogue Number: 5046769602), which will contain Jean Michel Jarre's Complete Concert in Beijing's Forbidden City & Tiananmen Square in China, on October 10th 2004, with a 52 Minutes 'Behind The Scenes' Documentary entitled 'JEAN MICHEL JARRE: SUR LES TRACES DU DERNIER EMPEREUR', a 9 Minutes Documentary about Jean Michel Jarre & Chinese Rock Musician Cui Jian entitled 'LIBERTE D'EXPRESSION', an Audio Commentary by Jean Michel Jarre in French & English, a Photo Gallery, and a 70 Minute Bonus Audio CD containing 11 'Live' Tracks from the Concert, with Jean Michel Jarre's Previously Unreleased 'AEROLOGY (Remix)' included as a Bonus Track.

The 'JARRE IN CHINA' DVD will be available in PAL Regions 2, 3, 4 and 5, and has been recorded in THX High Definition, which makes it the World's First Ever THX Certified Music DVD. It is presented in a 16:9 Anamorphic Widescreen Ratio (4:3 Compatible), with Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound and DTS 5.1 Surround Sound. The Complete Tracklisting is as follows:-

JEAN MICHEL JARRE AT 'ONCE UPON A TIME' CONCERT

APRIL 3RD: Last night, Jean Michel Jarre performed his Musical & Visual Interpretation of 'THE SHADOW', to an audience of approximately 42,000 people, at the Hans Christian Andersen 2005 Bicentenary Festival Opening Concert, 'ONCE UPON A TIME', at the Parken Stadium (Denmark's National Stadium), in Copenhagen, Denmark at about 21:15 (9:15pm) (Local Time).

After being introduced by the Concert's Hostess, Danish Actress Connie Nielsen, Jean Michel Jarre introduced his Musical & Visual Interpretation of the Hans Christian Andersen tale 'THE SHADOW', with these words:-

"As we celebrate Hans Christian Andersen, we celebrate more than an author. We celebrate education, through simple universal messages, through simple words, accessible to all, in any language.

As a long standing ambassador to UNESCO, I see Hans Christian Andersen's work as a positive, timeless weapon to combat illiteracy, and promote a dignified action...education for all...education for everyone.

The world has too many shadows, that deserve to meet, one day, an educated master...so let's help them."

For his Musical & Visual Interpretation of the Hans Christian Andersen tale 'THE SHADOW', Jean Michel Jarre then performed a 9 Minute version of his 1986 Classic Track 'RENDEZ-VOUS 2', accompanied by Francis Rimbert, Claude Samar, Laser Harp, a Danish Orchestra and Choir, 2 Lasers and a Computer Generated Video on a Giant 312 Metres Squared Video Screen.

APRIL 2ND: Yesterday evening, JARRE UK was invited by Jean Michel Jarre's Management to attend Jean Michel Jarre's 'ONCE UPON A TIME' Concert Rehearsal, at the Parken Stadium, in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Jean Michel Jarre's Musical and Visual Interpretation of 'THE SHADOW', contains a 10 Minute Track, which Jean Michel Jarre Fans will instantly recognise. As we previously reported, Jean Michel Jarre's Musical and Visual Interpretation of 'THE SHADOW', DOES NOT contain a NEW Track.

Jean Michel Jarre's Musical and Visual Interpretation of 'THE SHADOW' will now appear as the 4th Act of the Concert, where Jean Michel Jarre will be accompanied on stage by Francis Rimbert, Claude Samar, Laser Harp, an Orchestra, Choir, Lasers, Video Projections & Indoor Fireworks.

Tonight, JARRE UK will attend the 'ONCE UPON A TIME' Concert, and will be photographing Jean Michel Jarre's performance. In the meantime, we hope you will enjoy the above Photographs from yesterday's Rehearsals.
