'OXYGENE 4' ON NEW 'ELECTRIC' COMPILATION ALBUM

AUGUST 31ST: A 3 Minutes 36 Seconds Edit of Jean Michel Jarre's 29 Year Old Classic 'OXYGENE 4' is featured as Track 14 on CD1 of a NEW Double CD Compilation Album, 'ELECTRIC' (WSMCD223), released in the UK, by Warner Music on the Warner Dance Label, on Monday 29th August 2005.

AUGUST 31ST: In January 2003, JARRE UK invited Jean Michel Jarre Fans from all over the world to send in their Jean Michel Jarre Artwork for our Jean Michel Jarre Artwork Gallery, which we started when Jamie Guerre from the Ukraine sent us his Drawings of Jean Michel Jarre to put online.

JARRE UK has recently received more Artwork inspired by Jean Michel Jarre's 'SPACE OF FREEDOM' Concert from Alessandro Fantini, a Painter from Italy, who is featured in Jean Michel Jarre's 'AERO' Album Booklet, with a Photo of him painting his Oil on Wood Masterpiece, 'OBE', in 2003.

Alessandro Fantini's NEW Artwork, entitled 'THE GDANSK SYMPHONY', is painted with Oils, Inks, Pastels & Charcoal on Cardboard, and has been inspired by Jean Michel Jarre's 'SPACE OF FREEDOM' Concert, which he has kindly donated to JARRE UK as an Exclusive for our Artwork Gallery.

AUGUST 30TH: Jean Michel Jarre's 'JARRE IN CHINA' DVD has now made a surprise re-entry in the Official Hungarian Music DVD Chart at Number 4, this week, after eleventh week of release in Hungary, and most of Europe.

AUGUST 30TH: On Friday 26th August 2005, Jean Michel Jarre performed his spectacular 2 Hours & 40 Minutes 'SPACE OF FREEDOM' Concert at the Gdansk Shipyards, Gdansk, Poland, to an estimated audience of 100,000.

Jean Michel Jarre performed 23 Tracks, in probably his longest Concert to date, accompanied on stage by Francis Rimbert, Claude Samard, Patrick Rondat, the Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra and the Academic Choir of the University of Gdansk. The Full Tracklisting of the Concert was as follows:-

Jean Michel Jarre's 'SPACE OF FREEDOM' Concert was in his own words "the best Concert in his entire career", full of energy and emotion, with a welcome return to Tracks that had not been performed in over a decade, and a spectacular Fireworks Display of 15 Tons of Fireworks throughout.

Jean Michel Jarre's Dress Rehearsal for his 'SPACE OF FREEDOM' Concert took place the night before, on Thursday 25th August 2005, attended by an audience of 40,000, which included, for the first time, a Firework Finale!!!

JARRE UK attended and photographed both the Dress Rehearsals during Thursday 25th August 2005, and the Concert on Friday 26th August 2005. A Special Gallery of selected Photographs from both the Dress Rehearsals and the Concert will be online later in the week...WATCH THIS SPACE!!!

AUGUST 23RD: The JARRE UK Team will be travelling to Gdansk, Poland, tomorrow, to attend Jean Michel Jarre's Concert, for the 25th Anniversary of Solidarity, in Gdansk Shipyards, Gdansk, Poland, on August 26th 2005.

JARRE UK will be working alongside Jean Michel Jarre's Management in Gdansk, aswell as organising a Fan Meeting for approximately 100 Jean Michel Jarre Fans, at the Neptune Fountain, at 14:00 on August 25th 2005.

JARRE UK has every intention to keep all Fans, who cannot attend Jean Michel Jarre's 'Space of Freedom' Concert, informed using JARRELIVE's Web-Site (www.jarrelive.net), depending whether circumstances permit.

AUGUST 23RD: Jean Michel Jarre's 'JARRE IN CHINA' DVD, has this week dramatically dropped out of the Top 20 in the Official Hungarian Music DVD Chart, after its tenth week of release in Hungary, and most of Europe.

AUGUST 22ND: BBC News (http://news.bbc.co.uk) has just confirmed this afternoon, that Dr Robert Moog, the Inventor of the Electronic Synthesizer, has died in his North Carolina home, from Brain Cancer, at the age of 71.

AUGUST 18TH: Lukasz Drobnik from Young City (www.youngcity.pl), has revealed to JARRE UK today, that Jean Michel Jarre's Crew have started constructing the Stage for Jean Michel Jarre's forthcoming Concert, next week, in Gdansk Shipyards, Gdansk, Poland, on Friday 26th August 2005.

The Official Web-Site for Jean Michel Jarre's 'Space of Freedom' Concert (www.jarre.pl) has revealed that Jean Michel Jarre's Main Stage will be 20 Metres in width, 30 Metres in length and 2.5 Metres in height. A second Stage is also planned to be built behind the Main Stage, to accomodate the Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra & Academic Choir of Gdansk University.

AUGUST 16TH: Jean Michel Jarre's 'JARRE IN CHINA' DVD has, this week, managed to remain at last week's position in the Official Hungarian Music DVD Chart, at Number 3, after only its ninth week of release in Hungary.

AUGUST 13TH: JARRE UK's Robin Hosgood is proposing a Fan Meeting for all Jean Michel Jarre Fans who are travelling to Gdansk, Poland, to watch Jean Michel Jarre's 'Space of Freedom' Concert, for 25th Anniversary of Solidarity, in the Gdansk Shipyards, Gdansk, Poland, on August 26th 2005.

AUGUST 9TH: Jean Michel Jarre's 'JARRE IN CHINA' DVD has dropped in the Official Hungarian Music DVD Chart to Number 3, after only its eighth week of release, but has now dropped out of the Top 30 in Official Dutch Music DVD Chart, after its eleventh week of release in the Netherlands.

AUGUST 8TH: On Saturday 6th August and Sunday 7th August 2005, Jean Michel Jarre performed 2 Mini-Concerts, in the Salle Des Etoiles (Room of Stars), in the Sporting Monte-Carlo Casino, in Monte-Carlo, Monaco, for 90 Minutes each, as part of Sporting Monte-Carlo Casino's Summer Festival.

Jean Michel Jarre performed 16 Tracks at each of the 2 Mini-Concerts, all presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound, accompanied on stage by Francis Rimbert, Claude Samard & Patrick Rondat, with the assistance of the Sporting Orchestra, to estimated audiences of 1500 people at the First Mini-Concert and 1100 people at the Second Mini-Concert. AUGUST 4TH: Yesterday, Jean Michel Jarre held a Press Conference, at TVP's (Polish National Television's) Headquarters in Warsaw, Poland, to officially announce his forthcoming Concert, for the 25th Anniversary of Solidarity, in the Gdansk Shipyards, Gdansk, Poland, on August 26th 2005.

Thanks to Jean Michel Jarre's Management, JARRE UK's Representative in Poland, Jan Szulew, was fortunate enough to attend the Warsaw Press Conference, where Jean Michel Jarre signed his Roland D-50 Synthesizer, footage of which appeared on various News Bulletins on TVP yesterday.

The Press Conference revealed that Jean Michel Jarre's Concert will be officially called 'Przestren Wolnosci' (Space of Freedom), and will last for approximately 2 Hours, starting at 20:00 (8pm) on Friday 26th August 2005.

Jean Michel Jarre will perform to an audience of approximately 100,000 people, accompanied on stage by Francis Rimbert, Claude Samard and Patrick Rondat, with the assistance of the Fryderyk Chopin Polish Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra and Academic Choir of the University of Gdansk.

The Press Conference also revealed that Jean Michel Jarre will perform a NEW Track, that he has composed especially for the Concert, based upon the late Polish Singer Jacek Kaczmarski's Track from 1979, 'Mury' (Walls).

Jean Michel Jarre's Concert will be broadcast 'Live' on Polish Television Channels TVP1 & TVP Polonia (www.tvp.pl), and will be Web-Cast 'Live' on the Internet in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound by ITVP (www.itvp.pl).

At the Press Conference, Jean Michel Jarre was presented with an award by Warner Music Poland, celebrating his 'JARRE IN CHINA' DVD achieving 'Gold' Status in Poland, indicating that over 5000 Copies have been sold.

After the Press Conference, Jean Michel Jarre held a Signing Session at the Empik Megastore in Warsaw from 17:00-18:00 (5pm-6pm), which was also attended by JARRE UK's Representative, photos of which are above.

An Official Web-Site for Jean Michel Jarre's 'Space of Freedom' Concert has been recently launched by the Gdansk Foundation, in both Polish and English (www.jarre.pl), which currently provides essential information on the Concert, and Tourist Information for anyone travelling to the Concert.

AUGUST 2ND: Jean Michel Jarre's 'JARRE IN CHINA' DVD has climbed in the Official Hungarian Music DVD Chart to Number 2, after only its seventh week of release, dropped again in the Official Dutch Music DVD Chart to Number 20, after only tenth week of release, but has now dropped out of the Official Slovakian Music DVD Chart, after only sixth week of release.
