DECEMBER 31ST: JEANMICHELJARRE.NL (www.jeanmicheljarre.nl) have informed JARRE UK, that Belgian TV Station RTBF1 (La Une) (www.la1.be) is to broadcast 'CONCERT JEAN-MICHEL JARRE', a 40 Minutes Edit of Jean Michel Jarre's 'WATER FOR LIFE' Concert, amongst the Sand Dunes of the Sahara Desert, Merzouga, Morocco on December 16th 2006, at 23:15-23:55 (11:15pm-11:55pm) (Local Time), on New Year's Eve, December 31st 2006.

DECEMBER 22ND: Jean Michel Jarre's Management confirmed to JARRE UK today, that Jean Michel Jarre's NEW Studio Album, originally planned to be released in February 2007, is now scheduled to be released at the end of March 2007, the first Single from which, originally planned to be released this Christmas, is now scheduled to be released in January 2007.

Jean Michel Jarre performed his 'WATER FOR LIFE' Concert, with French Musicians Francis Rimbert (www.francisrimbert.com) and Claude Samard (www.claudesamard.com), accompanied by The Moroccan Philharmonic Orchestra, The Modern Arab Orchestra of Casablanca, a Moroccan Choir, traditional Moroccan Musicians (Soloists & Percussionists), and Dancers.

Jean Michel Jarre's performed a NEW Unreleased Track, entitled 'INTRO SATUREE', a 3 Minutes & 50 Seconds "heavily reworked" extract from his forthcoming NEW Studio Album, which is planned to be released in 2007.

Jean Michel Jarre's Stage consisted of 9 Vertical Screens, arranged very similarly to the Vertical Screens used in Jean Michel Jarre's 'EUROPE IN CONCERT' Tour in 1993, which he described as "The Doors Of The Desert", on which he projected Images, Animations, the Stage, and the Audience.

The Balloon with the Internal Projector, which was seen in the Centre of the Stage during Rehearsals, was not used in the Final Concert, as Jean Michel Jarre was not happy with the result, and therefore it was removed.

JARRE UK's view on Jean Michel Jarre's 'WATER FOR LIFE' Concert, was that it was a blend of Jean Michel Jarre's 'TWELVE DREAMS OF THE SUN' Concert in 1999 & Jean Michel Jarre's 'EUROPE IN CONCERT' Tour in 1993.

DECEMBER 16TH: Lina Panova, JARRE UK's Reporter in Morocco, has sent JARRE UK a selection of Photographs, taken at yesterday evening's Full Dress Rehearsal of Jean Michel Jarre's 'WATER FOR LIFE' Concert, in the Sahara Desert, Merzouga, Morocco, which included a Firework Finale!!!

The Photographs clearly show Jean Michel Jarre performing his 'WATER FOR LIFE' Dress Rehearsal, using a variety of instruments, which include his Roland AX-1, Dynacord, Laser Harp and Theremin, accompanied by Francis Rimbert, Claude Samard, The Modern Arab Orchestra, Moroccan Philharmonic Orchestra, and a Moroccan Choir, Musicians and Dancers.

DECEMBER 16TH: Belgian High-Definition TV Channel HD-1 (www.hd-1.tv) will re-broadcast 'JEAN MICHEL JARRE: SHIPYARD OF GDANSK', a 1 Hour High-Definition Edit of Jean Michel Jarre's 'SPACE OF FREEDOM' Concert in the Gdansk Shipyards, Gdansk, Poland on August 26th 2005, from 21:00 (9pm) (CET) on Sunday 17th December 2006, and repeated from 1:00, 5:00, 9:00, 13:00 (1pm) and 17:00 (5pm) (CET) on Monday 18th December 2006.

DECEMBER 11TH: JARRE UK has recently received more Artwork from the Italian Painter, Alessandro Fantini, who is featured in Jean Michel Jarre's 'AERO' Album Booklet, painting his 2003 Oil on Wood Masterpiece, 'OBE'.

Alessandro Fantini's NEW Artwork, entitled 'SPIRACULA (OXYGENE 1976-

Alessandro Fantini described his NEW Artwork to JARRE UK as "creating a visual link between the two concepts of 'OXYGENE' & 'WATER FOR LIFE', keeping the minimalist approach of Granger's covers and Jarre's music".

"Over the years the metaphysical and physical content of 'OXYGENE' never stopped to feed my musings and imagination, being itself a breathing canvas coloured with irrational glimpses of life and death.

The swiss painter Arnold Bocklin once said that his paintings had to leave in its viewers the "impression" of musical poems. The composer Max Reger, who never met the author of "The Island Of Dead", thought the same when he created his "Four Symphonic Poems By Arnold Bocklin", demonstrating that both artistic expressions belong to the arcane field of what Marcel Proust defined "impression veritable", an unspeakable feeling generated by memories of colours, scents, sounds and lights. For me, Jarre's music hides an infinite stream of such impressions.

During my childhood, the trilogy of Jarre's 'OXYGENE', 'EQUINOXE' and 'MAGNETIC FIELDS' projected in my mind an organic diorama of glittering planes, gloomy skies, foggy mountains, dark woods, enigmatic twilights, and dreamy seasides. I still recall each of those impressions like a saga of lucid dreams. When I painted my first tribute on canvas to Jarre in 1997, my attempt was to recollect, in a surreal portrait, all the visual symbols of his musical journey until that year.

Now with this new painting I tried to focus my pictorial delirium on the core itself of the 'OXYGENE' theme, not just to celebrate the anniversary of an universal masterwork, but to highlight the progress of a self-consumption of the Earth's life. An ecological distress, already allegorized by Jarre's soundscapes like a romantic regret for the lost harmony between humans and nature. A disease whose more evident symptoms will be the lack of drinkable waters and the over-heating of the planet.

In my medianic vision the Earth will be reduced to a dry globe of crackled matter, whose only treasure will be the antarctic continent, the last giant reserve of 'OXYGENE'. During the days while I was finishing this picture, scientists discovered similar reserves of ice in the veins of the planet Mars, a prefiguration of the possible future of our terrestrial realm. May this image be just a poetic warning and not a spooky prophecy."

DECEMBER 8TH: JEANMICHELJARRE.DK (www.jeanmicheljarre.dk) have informed JARRE UK, that they have just received a Press Release from the Moroccan Production Company behind Jean Michel Jarre's 'WATER FOR LIFE' Concert, near Merzouga, Morocco, on Saturday 16th December 2006.

Rezo Production's Official Press Release provides Technical Details about Jean Michel Jarre's 'WATER FOR LIFE' Concert, as well as an insight into the design and look of the Stage. The Official Press Release is as follows:-

JEAN MICHEL JARRE 'WATER FOR LIFE' CONCERT - FACT SHEET

* Production comprises 125 people from Jean Michel Jarre's side.
* 50 people from Rezo Production in Morocco.
* 50 people to build the stage.
* The show will be filmed by Alfacam in HD.
* The week after the show, it will be post-produced and the show will then be offered to TV's for broadcasting.
* 60 Moroccan artists will participate:-
The Modern Arab Orchestra from Casablanca.
The Philharmonic Orchestra from Morocco.
A traditional choir.
The Choir des Azilees.
Soloists (Oud/Flute/Arab Violin).
Percussionists (Darboukas/Tambourines).
Gnawas.
Dancers.
* Musical director: Claude Samard.
* 18 semi trucks have already taken all the material to the site.
* The stage, front of dunes, will be surrounded by 9 vertical screens "the doors of the desert" (some 14x7 metres/others 8x5 metres) on which images will be projected in HD, related to water/nature.
* At the back of the stage, in the middle, a balloon 10 metres in diameter, 20 metres high will project images from a projector inside the balloon.

In addition to the above facts and figures, Jean Michel Jarre's Production Team have confirmed to JARRE UK, that Jean Michel Jarre will be joined on Stage by Francis Rimbert (www.francisrimbert.com) & Claude Samard (www.claudesamard.com), who will perform 20 Tracks during the 1 Hour 50 Minutes Concert, to an estimated expected audience of 15,000 people.

As information regarding the broadcasting of Jean Michel Jarre's 'WATER FOR LIFE' Concert has not exactly been forthcoming, JARRE UK has been in contact with both Moroccan National TV, TVM (www.snrt.ma), and the Belgian HDTV Media Group, Euro1080 (www.euro1080.com), and can now confirm that it will be broadcast 'LIVE' by Moroccan National TV Channel, TVM International, from 21:00 (9pm) (Local Time) on December 16th 2006.

However, despite Euro1080 announcing that Jean Michel Jarre's 'WATER FOR LIFE' Concert would be broadcasted 'LIVE' by their High-Definition TV Channel HD-1 (www.hd-1.tv), there has been some issues regarding this, and JARRE UK has been told that negotiations will continue throughout the week to try to get a resolution, and therefore there is no confirmation whether the Concert broadcast will go out with a possible 1 Hour delay on December 16th 2006, or whether it will be broadcast in a few weeks time, in the new year. Euro1080 have promised to keep JARRE UK informed on any progress they make this week with regards to this issue, but they have confirmed that the Full Concert will be broadcast on their HDTV Channel HD-2 from 20:30 (8:30pm) (Local Time) on both December 21st & 22nd 2006.
