Discography
Welcome
to the Discography pages of JARRE UK.
Magnetic Fields was to break the atmohphere of his previous two commercial
successes by moving his music into the 80s.
The rhythmic sequences are full of energy in their style, giving the album
a more "rock 'n' roll" attitude towards Jean Michel's music.
For this album, Jarre used a brand new synthesizer for its' time - the
Fairlight (Jarre was one of the first artists to use the keyboard alongside
the artist Peter Gabriel).
The album itself contains some catchy tracks, with the main theme for
this album being Magnetic Fields part 2, with it's tinny drum beats and
catchy lead. The most least-aknowledged track on this album (and a true
fan favourite) is the third part of Magnetic Fields 1 - which comes in
after approx 11 minutes. This has been stated as being a highly sought
after track that each fan would love to hear played live at a future concert
- and listening to the track you would understand why.
