Discography

Welcome to the Discography pages of JARRE UK.

During the time the remixes for Oxygene 7-13 were being conceived, work began on this album project. Instead of just another remix compilation - like Jarremix - Jean Michel Jarre had the idea of creating a proper, flowing album made from the essence of the remixes. The French DJ Claude Monnet mixed the album together, with Jean Michel personally working on various aspects.

The album was originally going to be called "Oxygene Odyssey" and was to include remixes from both Oxygene albums, and some people even spoke of remixes "made by Jarre" (which would have made a much better album in the long run). This was not to be the case though, as in the end, only remixes from Oxygene 7-13 were used, and the final title is what you see here.

The most interesting aspect of this album though is from the CD-ROM section on the CD release, which comprises of a special, cut-down edition of the X-Pose software created by ArKaos - which was the software used during the Oxygene Tour to create the background screen images and live effects.

The version on the CD though is called 'JArKaos' and it allows you to create live images and effects in time with the music only from the album (the full version of the software allows you to use any music CD). Also, the images used for the CD were created by the French school SupInfoCom in Valenciennes.
