Welcome to the Discography pages of JARRE UK.

For this album, Jean Michel Jarre used the synthesizer as if it were a camera - taking 'pictures' of different cultures and ethnic origins and using them to create the tracks that reside on this masterpiece.

During several months, Jean Michel travelled around the world, recording voices of people from different countries and cultures. After doing that, Jean Michel flew to New York where several masters of music began work on these samples to create a work of art.

Together, Jean Michel Jarre, Marcus Miller, Adrian Belew, Horton Yogi and the performance artiste Laurie Anderson create an album that is astonishing and is vibrating with different emotions throughout.

The thing to note about this album though is that on its re-release, the original versions of 'Zoolook' and 'Zoolookologie' are replaced with remixed versions - although upon listening to both, the differences are hardly noticable. The tracklisting was also ammending during this process too - but was deferred back to its original tracklisting for the remastered edition in 1997.
