 JULY 25TH: As reported a while back on JARRE UK, the auction of the Special Edition Creative Labs DAP Jukebox is well underway, with the latest bid standing at £606 UK Pounds! The Special Edition Jukebox will contain ALL of Jean Michel's previous albums pre-loaded onto the Jukebox, and the winner will also receive all of the albums on CD too (just in case you accidentaly delete all the tracks from the Jukebox!). The proceeds of the final bid on the auction will go to UNESCO, and the end date of the Auction is on JULY 30TH. JULY 25TH: The soundtrack to the movie 'Qui veut devenir une star ?' (Who Wants to be a Star?) is nearly finished, with Jean Michel currently putting the finishing touches to the score. The release date of the movie has still yet to be confirmed, as is any plans for the soundtrack to be released on CD. In other news, Jean Michel Jarre has created a new sound design and installation for a new Bang & Olufsen store to be opened on October 4th 2001, at the Champs Elysees in Paris, France. Jean Michel is also reported to be working on a special Bang & Olufsen album too. For more information, point your browser towards JARRE.NET.
 JULY 19TH: Recently released this month was an album compiled by the the artist Nick Bracegirdle - aka Chicane - entitled 'VISIONS OF IBIZA'. Chicane is known to many as the radio-friendly dance producer responsible for "Offshore" and one of 2000's biggest single collaborations, "Don't Give Up" with Bryan Adams. What is unique to Jarre Fans about this compilation though is the fact that the FULL LENGTH album version of OXYGENE PART 2 is featured as Track 10 on the first CD. The compilation itself is a 24-track selection that Chicane has personally chosen himself that, although not directly relating to the music of Ibiza, actually "captures the same spiritual essence" of what he feels Ibiza is all about. Quote: "Some of the tracks have had a defining, inspirational influence on my music while others reflect my current view of Ibiza". The album is released by Beechwood Music Ltd and can be purchased directly from their website. The Catalogue number is CHICCD01.
JULY 14TH: In an effort to improve the overall feel of the website, we talked to fans both on the Internet, and at the 'AKROPOLIS' Concerts in Athens, to ask their opinion on JARRE UK. Based on Feedback we received, we have changed the overall deisgn of the website, and graced it with an Official JARRE UK Logo, as seen on our T-Shirts by Fans who went to the 'AKROPOLIS' Concerts in Athens. Also, we have chosen this day to re-launch JARRE UK in order to pay tribute to previous concerts held by Jean Michel Jarre on (July 14th) which is known to the people of France as Bastille Day. Thanks for the support of everyone, and also thanks to everyone with their suggestions on improvement to the website. Cheers! :)
JULY 12TH: Bang & Olufsen - the Danish manufacturer of video and audio systems - have released a commercial promoting their new BeoSound 1 product, containing tracks from Jean Michel Jarre's album latest album Metamorphoses. The commercial uses a combination of Je Me Souviens, C'est La Vie, Miss Moon, Millions of Stars, and the previously unreleased track 'METAMORPHOSES' - which features in the last segment of the video. The commercial was produced by Square Prod - with Joachim Garraud personally working on the project - and has been in development since March this year.
