JULY 29TH: Jean Michel Jarre's Official Web-Site (www.jarre.net) have released the Official Press Release for Jean Michel Jarre's forthcoming NEW Greatest Hits Album, entitled 'AERO: ANTHOLOGY OF ELECTRONIC REVISITED ORIGINALS', scheduled to be released throughout Europe on September 21st 2004, on Warner Music France's East West Records Label:-

"As a pioneer of electronic music for over 20 years (selling over 60 million albums worldwide and performing record-breaking concerts), Jean Michel Jarre's global success has inspired a new generation of creators and one of the fastest growing trends in the industry.

Today, Jean Michel Jarre continues the sound revolution with his forth-coming release 'AERO' - the world's first album fully constructed, note for note, in 5.1 surround sound. With over 25 million households across the Europe now owning a Home Cinema surround sound system, the time for 'AERO' has never been more right.

Revisiting his greatest hits, together with three new tracks and a series of interlude scenes, the 'AERO' experience is like nothing you have heard before. 'AERO' places the listener 'inside' the music, rather than outside the flat 'wall' of stereo, immersing you in the way that first listening to music on headphones once did, although now in 360° surround sound. There will also be Competitions to win Tickets to Jean Michel Jarre's European 'AERO' Showcase in Salzburg, Austria on September 7th 2004, and Jean Michel Jarre's 'YEAR OF FRANCE' Concert in Beijing, China on October 10th 2004.

The Official Press Release states that Jean Michel Jarre's 'AERO' Album will be released as a Double-Disc Set, containing both the Audio CD and Audio DVD versions of the Album. JARRE UK has had this confirmed both by Jean Michel Jarre's Management and Warner Music France. Warner Music UK also confirmed to JARRE UK that the UK Release of Jean Michel Jarre's 'AERO' Album is scheduled for release on September 20th 2004.

JEAN MICHEL JARRE: CHINA CONCERT CONFIRMED

JULY 12TH: Today, Jean Michel Jarre's Management confirmed to JARRE UK, that Jean Michel Jarre's proposed Concert in Beijing, China, for the Official Launch of the 'YEAR OF FRANCE' Festival in China, will go ahead as originally planned on October 10th 2004, in Beijing's Forbidden City.

The Forbidden City, built in the 15th Century, was China's Imperial Palace during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and is the World's Largest Palace Complex, somprising of 9,999 Buildings, covering 74 Hectares, surrounded by a 10 Metres high Wall, and a 52 Metres wide, and 6 Metres deep Moat.

At this moment in time, Jean Michel Jarre's Management cannot confirm exactly where in the Forbidden City, Jean Michel Jarre will perform his Concert, and therefore cannot confirm an estimated audience size, but JARRE UK has been assured that these details will be released very soon.

The 'YEAR OF FRANCE' Festival in China from October 2004 to July 2005, is a continuation of the 'YEAR OF CHINA' Festival in France from October 2003 to July 2004, which included Jean Michel Jarre's involvement in the lighting up of The Eiffel Tower, in Imperial Red, for the visit of Chinese President Hu Jintao in Paris, for the Chinese New Year in January 2004.

The Official Launch of the 'YEAR OF FRANCE' Festival in China, will begin with an Aerobatic Display by the French Air Force's Aerobatic Team, the 'PATROUILLE DE FRANCE', followed by Jean Michel Jarre's Concert, all overseen by French President Jacques Chirac, who will be visiting Beijing in October 2004. The entire event will be broadcast LIVE on Chinese TV.

Jean Michel Jarre's Management have confirmed that aswell as Chinese TV broadcasting Jean Michel Jarre's Concert LIVE, 5 Giant Video Screens will be placed in several Beijing locations including Tiananmen Square, to broadcast Jean Michel Jarre's Concert LIVE across the Chinese Capital.

At this moment in time, Jean Michel Jarre's Management cannot confirm whether Jean Michel Jarre's Concert will be a Free or Paid Ticket Event. However, Jean Michel Jarre's Management have promised to inform us at JARRE UK when further information is available...WATCH THIS SPACE!!!

forthcoming NEW Greatest Hits Album, entitled 'AERO', as it has recently been brought to our attention, that the information in our News Article, dated June 29th 2004, about the NEW Album, may have been incorrect :(

In our original News Article, we stated that the Audio CD Version of Jean Michel Jarre's 'AERO' Album contained more Tracks than the Audio DVD Version. Today, Joachim Garraud confirmed that this information was indeed incorrect, and that both Formats contain the same Tracklisting:-

'JARRELOOK' THE UK TRIBUTE BAND CONCERT

JULY 4TH: Last Night, 'JARRELOOK', The UK Jean Michel Jarre Tribute Band, performed a Spectacular Concert, at The Charter Theatre, in the Guild Hall, Preston, Lancashire to a fantastic Audience of Jean Michel Jarre Fans from the UK, The Netherlands and as far away as Denmark!!!

'JARRELOOK's Concert was well received, especially the debut of their NEW Laser Harp, which was used for their first ever performance of Jean Michel Jarre's 'OXYGENE 7', and "CHRONOLOGIE 3", at the end of which 'JARRELOOK' gave a jaw-dropping Polyphonic Demonstration of the Laser Harp, with a LIVE improvisation of Mike Oldfield's 'TUBULAR BELLS'!!!

'JARRELOOK' performed 24 Classic Jean Michel Jarre Tracks, covering 30 Years of Jean Michel Jarre's Music, including an Instrumental Version of "HYPNOSE", originally released as a B-Side Single in 1974, 'JARRELOOK' performed this much lesser known Track flawlessly with their Mellotron.

'JARRELOOK' also performed for the first time ever, their versions of Jean Michel Jarre's 'ZOOLOOK', and the as yet unreleased, yet highly popular, 'AERO INTRODUCTION', which 'JARRELOOK' performed on a somewhat aggressive sounding Moog Liberation, complete with Strobe Lighting Effects. JULY 1ST: 'JARRELOOK', The UK Jean Michel Jarre Tribute Band, will perform their Concert, at The Charter Theatre, in the Guild Hall, Preston, on July 3rd 2004, and JARRE UK will not only be attending the event, but also be part of the event, as Dunkie (Web-Master of JARRE UK) is on stage throughout the Concert, delivering LIVE Video to the Projection Screen.

JARRE UK has teamed up again with AMD (Alternative Music Distribution) to offer Jarre Fans attending the Concert, Francis Dreyfus Music's NEW Jean Michel Jarre Greatest Hits Album, "THE ESSENTIAL", at a discounted price of £9.99, and the re-releases of Francis Dreyfus Music's Jean Michel Jarre Back Catalogue at a discounted price £7.99. These Albums will be on sale, in limited quantities, inside The Charter Theatre at the Concert.

Tickets are still available for the 'JARRELOOK' Concert, and JARRE UK suggests that anyone still wishing to purchase a Ticket, should now only purchase it from The Guild Hall Box Office in Preston, Lancashire, as their simply is not enough time before the Concert, for Tickets to be posted to you in time for the Concert.
