SEPTEMBER 24TH: Today, Jean Michel Jarre's Management confirmed to JARRE UK, that Jean Michel Jarre's forthcoming Concert in Beijing, China, on October 10th 2004, will be performed as a 2 Stage Concert, in Beijing's Forbidden City, and on Tiananmen Square, despite Jean Michel Jarre announcing in an Interview on France Inter Radio earlier this week, that his Beijing Concert would only be located in The Forbidden City itself.

Jean Michel Jarre's Management confirmed to JARRE UK that the Second Stage of the Concert, will take place at Zheng Yang Men Gate (Qianmen), formely the Southern Gate of Beijing's Fortress during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, located at the Southern End of Tiananmen Square, about 80 Metres South of Mao Tse Tung's Mausoleum (Mao Zedong Memorial Hall).

SEPTEMBER 17TH: Jean Michel Jarre's Management have confirmed to JARRE UK, that Jean Michel Jarre's forthcoming Concert in Beijing, China, on October 10th 2004, is now confirmed to be performed as a 2 Stage Concert, as previously reported by JARRE UK on September 14th 2004.

The First Stage of the Concert will see Jean Michel Jarre perform inside Beijing's Forbidden City, to an audience of 4000 VIPs & Invited Guests only, and the Second Stage of the Concert will see Jean Michel Jarre perform outside Beijing's Forbidden City, opposite Tiananmen Square.

The precise locations of where Jean Michel Jarre will perform inside and outside of Beijing's Forbidden City, remain something of a mystery at this moment in time, with both Jean Michel Jarre's Management & The France In China Commission, unable to give JARRE UK this information as of yet.

However, it does appear at this moment in time, that the location for Jean Michel Jarre's Concert inside Beijing's Forbidden City, as previously reported by JARRE UK on August 6th 2004, may have now changed to a location in the South of Beijing's Forbidden City, near the South Gate.

SEPTEMBER 14TH: Today, Jean Michel Jarre's Management & The France In China Commission confirmed to JARRE UK, that Jean Michel Jarre's forthcoming Concert in Beijing, China, for the Official Launch of the 'YEAR OF FRANCE' Festival, on October 10th 2004, is now being planned to be performed in both The Forbidden City and opposite Tiananmen Square.

Since JARRE UK's disappointing announcement yesterday, Jean Michel Jarre's Management & The France In China Commission, have revealed that Jean Michel Jarre is now planning to split his Concert into 2 Stages.

The First Stage, which is already confirmed, will see Jean Michel Jarre perform inside The Forbidden City, to an audience of 4000 VIPs & Invited Guests only, but now there are plans for a Second Stage, which has still to be confirmed, which would see Jean Michel Jarre perform part of his Surround Sound Concert, just outside The Forbidden City's Tiananmen Gate, opposite Tiananmen Square, to the remainder of his audience, who were watching the First Stage of the Concert on Giant Video Screens.

Although these plans have still yet to be confirmed, Jean Michel Jarre's Management are hopeful that this announcement will relieve some of the disappointment felt by Jean Michel Jarre Fans who are planning to travel to Beijing to watch Jean Michel Jarre's Concert...WATCH THIS SPACE!!!

SEPTEMBER 13TH: Jean Michel Jarre's Management have confirmed to JARRE UK, that Jean Michel Jarre's forthcoming Concert in The Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, Beijing, China, for the Official Launch of the 'YEAR OF FRANCE' Festival, on October 10th 2004, will be a FREE Concert.

As previously reported, Jean Michel Jarre will perform his Concert in The Forbidden City, but it has now been confirmed that access to the Concert within The Forbidden City will be exclusive to VIPs & Invited Guests only.

Therefore, the majority of Jean Michel Jarre's Audience will only be able to watch the Concert on Giant Video Screens, that are to be placed on Tiananmen Square, and on various locations within Beijing's City Centre.

This may come as a major disappointment to Jean Michel Jarre Fans who are travelling to Beijing to watch Jean Michel Jarre's first ever Surround Sound Concert, but with now less than a month to go, Jean Michel Jarre's Management confirmed to JARRE UK, that things are unlikely to change.

For those Jean Michel Jarre Fans who cannot attend the Concert, it will be broadcast LIVE on Chinese TV (www.cctv.com) and also on Euro1080's High-Definition TV Station HD1 (www.hd-1.tv) from 13:00 CET (1pm CET) on October 10th 2004.
